COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, dark and delicious porter with chocolate and coffee overtones accented by a subtle smokiness from just the right amount of peat smoked malt. Unlike a rauchbier, the "smoke" in Stone Smoked Porter is an ELEMENT of the character rather than being THE character. -- Greg Koch, Stone Brewing Co.

Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Dark brown coloured. Has a light brown head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is roasted, faint burnt, dark chocolate, mild coffee. Faint smoke and soy sauce. Flavor starts moderate sweet and finish moderate bitter, long duration. Creamy and soft.

Very nice, smoky aroma of roasted malts with some sweet chocolate and subtle hops. This beer pours a thin black that lets some light through. The palate is sufficiently carbonated, if a bit thin, and the flavor is mostly bitter from all the smoke/roast and, less noticeably, from the hops. I was really expecting more character out of this, but the taste notes die out rather quickly, with only the smokiness lingering for a while. Very nice, but not game-changing.

Keg at brewdog. A fantastic porter. Black, thick and roasty tasting. The smoked element is there but not a contolling stake. It folds in to the thick richness wonderfully. Tremendous.

Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas during the three day Stone Event, 16-18 september 2011. Pitch black, opaque color with a nice off-white head. Smell malts, smoke, coffee and chocolate. Taste some bitter, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Nice carbonation, medium body.

Pours black with tan head. Decent wack of smoke on the aroma. Good bit of smoke on the taste but not huge, goes well with the roast malt profile. Nice
