Jul 24, 2009 Pours dark brown with ruby edges and a thick tan head that is creamy and lasts. Aroma is chocolate, light smoke and dark fruit. Initially smoked flavor is strong but then dulls once all the malt sweetness kicks in, also ripe fruit and coffee notes. Silky smooth and delicious.

Jul 17, 2009 A very nice porter. Pours almost black, with a thin tan head. Smoky with a hint of burnt semi-sweet chocolate. Not particularly sweet. All in all a ’thumbs up’.

Jul 17, 2009 Pours an opaque dark brown with a medium brown head. Very attractive looking. Smells of a woody smoke, a bit of dark chocolate. A perfect bit of hops. Flavor is of a bit of smoke ’n’ BBQ. Malt and Hops are well balanced and fused together into one beer taste. Very Good. Thanks again Stone!

Jul 17, 2009 poured black with little white head that faded quickly. smelled of coffee, chocolate, and smokiness. taste is very smokey at the beginning and fades quickly.

Jul 16, 2009 Blind tasted - Real surprised when I pulled the brown paper bag off this baby, because I figured the smoke would be more noticeable. Instead, I got just a whiff of smoke on the nose, with some roast and malt. Taste was bitter chocolatey roast and a little burnt wood. Just a touch of that smoke, too. It’s medium and creamy--real nice in the mouth, but there wasn’t anything that stood out about this beer.

Jul 15, 2009 bomber from a trade with scrizzz. pours dark brown with red highlights. thick tan head laces nicely. huge roasted malt aroma with a hint of smoke. huge and in your face. the flavour starts with roasted malt leading to a hint of smoke and a hoppy finish. hoppier then i thought it would be and not really that much smoke. really big for a 5.9% beer. wonderful porter all around. thx clint!
