Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and smoke. Complex roasted malt flavor with hints of chocolate and coffee and with a nice smokey finish at the end. Balanced mouthfeel makes this a very drinkable, fantastic porter. Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 26, 2008 Another great one from Stone. Not as much smoke as I expected but the coffee and chocolate played well with the more subtle smoke. While I never thought I would say this about a Stone beer it almost strikes me as delicate. Absolutely delicious. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 24, 2008 Apologetically dissapointed. I was expecting bliss here. The aroma was faint and the smokiness was fainter. I hope over-refrigeration was not the culprit. The flavors were present but so mild it was difficult to finish. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
