Stone Smoked Porter

deep brown, almost black color, medium tan head, nice lacing. aroma of mild smoke, malt, coffee. flavor of unsweetened coffee, chocolate. full-bodied, with a lingering bitterenss, and finally leaving a sweet note in the finish.

Pours black with a nice white head. Good flavor with a hints of dark roasted coffee and chocolate. Let this one warm up and more flavors start to pop up. Another fine beer from Stone

750ml bottle. Pours black with medium lasting tan head. Contains a slight smokey aroma. Good carb. Coffee, roasted malt, creamy with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Very drinkable, and great with food.

Bottle. Black pour, thin light tan head with a few bubbles popping around that dissipates quickly. Not much of an aroma. Nice sweet taste with perhaps a hint of smoke. Not nearly as smoky as the Alaskan smoked porter (which just preceded the stone in my tasting) very close to a standard porter.

Pours a dark chocolate color with a nice tan head. With a strong coffee aroma. Chocolatey/coffee flavor with a hint of smoke. Really surprised I could taste a bit of smoke. Really good beer.

smells sweet with a very faint smokeyness. very small head, that picture to the left is misleading :) I taste chocolate and dark fruit, with the smoke appearing during the finish

incredible aroma- blasts your nostrils into oblivion. appearance is gorgeous, dark brown, almost black. complex flavor- raisins, toffee, dark chocolate, and the obvious smoked overtones. mouthfeel is great- sticks to the tongue. awesome beer.

Bottle: Very dark brown almost black pour with a nice thick off white head that went thin after sitting for a minute. First scent is of liquid smoke and a dark chocolate. Similar in taste as well.
