Stone Smoked Porter

22oz. bottle. Almost black with a tan head. Nice chocolate aroma with a little smoke. The flavor was typical porter, with some roast and acidity, but the smoke is almost undetectable, and this makes me sad. I wish that there was a hundred times more... but this is life. Pretty nice porter considering, but nothing amazing.

Very interesting beer. A lot of malty character - coffee and chocolate. The smokiness is so subtle that it almost tastes like a rich porter bring drunk by a campfire. Finishes bittery-smooth...and very warm.

A bit chalky for my taste, and little to no smoke. Could have been sweeter, too. Otherwise, an okay porter from a really good brewing company

Bomber. Pours very dark/opaque with a creamy tan head. A bit of soap in the nose. First taste is wonderful. A bit of caramel, smoke, and a touch of fruit. A little coffee taste as well. Just a touch metallic. Very good smoked porter.

Best smoked porter I’ve had. Well balance, with nothing overplayed. Lots of hops. Great look and mouthfeel.

Porter fans rejoice. Stone is a great brewery with some great hits. This beer is not strong in aroma but the flavors are heavy. stone describes these flavors well. The smokey finish is a very enjoyable addition to this porter. Dark but not too heavy, make sure to enjoy a big glass of this delicious beer.

Going from memory here. I remember the body being a bit thin here. It poured a very dark brown, no where near black. Ton’s of roastiness, very hearty flavours of burnt wheat, coffee and smoke. The kind of smoke that comes off of sugared ham, if that makes sense. Great porter.

nice dark brown color. creamy with a nice smoked aftertaste. I enjoyed this beer
