COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, dark and delicious porter with chocolate and coffee overtones accented by a subtle smokiness from just the right amount of peat smoked malt. Unlike a rauchbier, the "smoke" in Stone Smoked Porter is an ELEMENT of the character rather than being THE character. -- Greg Koch, Stone Brewing Co.

22 oz bottle. Dark brown pour with a thick, light tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted coffee and very faint smoke. Flavor is rich, roasty malt, some bitter coffee and a bit of acidic smoke. Medium to full body with average carbonation and a long, dry finish. This is a nice porter, the smoked character is very light but it’s there.

Taste is roasted malty sweetness with a hint of smoke and coffee bitterness. This is a solid beer from start to finish. HIghly recommended.

Aroma includes roasted coffee, and dark chocolate. Black in color, with nice frothy head. On the palate, you can pick up a dominant coffee, and chocolate flavor, yet it had a nice creamy finish. One of my favorites.
