A rich, dark and delicious porter with chocolate and coffee overtones accented by a subtle smokiness from just the right amount of peat smoked malt. Unlike a rauchbier, the "smoke" in Stone Smoked Porter is an ELEMENT of the character rather than being THE character. -- Greg Koch, Stone Brewing Co.

The smoke just covers it all. Its prety burnt good.... although kind impossible to have the whole bottle

Smells delicious, chocolate, rich malt and liquorice. Pours dark brown with a tan head, looks of low carbonation, Big bitter flavour up front, followed by dark berries, burnt malt, slightly smoky, a little bit of grapefruit. Heavy body and early bitterness, medium carbonation, dry finish. A unique beer which is worth trying and good enough for continual purchase. The smoke isn't to over powering and best for those who like hops. Not sweet and more refreshing than you would expect a porter to be.

Dark pour with a light beige head. Smokey aroma with coffee and chocolate. Roasted bitter hoppy taste with coffee finish. A nice beer

Dark chocolate, grape/raisin, a touch of coffee, nuts, and soft pine on the nose. Taste was sweet up front - almost like light orange meets coffee and caramel. Shifts into mix of caramel, dark chocolate, and smoke, then fades to earthy hop, grapefruit, pine, and burnt wood. A different flavor stands out with each sip. Palate was medium-thick bodied with nice, crisp carbonation. Smooth, lightly viscous, and drying. I wish all Porters felt like this one. Stone is my favorite brewery for a reason. All four categories are brilliantly crafted and mix together to create one hell of a Porter here. Each sip shifts focus to somewhere else. The back of the bottle hits the nail on the head by saying, "Stone Smoked Porter is mysterious, smoky, and verging on utterly decadent".

1pt 6fl.oz ($4.99) First time trying anything from Stone. pretty good, like the flavor a lot. It really doesn’t taste like anything else and is a great match with BBQ and grilled meats. I liked it and will buy again

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. There’s no point adding a description. It’s all been done. But what I will say is, I’m drinking this with a smoked bacon sandwich, and the bacon is from Kempka’s butchers in Sheffield. It is the best bacon you’ll eat. And the beer’s pretty good too...

It’s very smoked. If you like eating smoked salmon, next to a smokey bonfire, whilst drinking porter, this is for you. I love it.

Dark brown, much lacing. Medium body, long palate, lingering. Very nice bittersweet balance. Light roast flavor. Enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is malt, coffee, chocolate, smokiness and roastiness. Taste is light to medium sweet leading to a roasty and slightly smoky finish. Pretty good.
