Bomber. Pours near black with reddish brown edges. Nice sized light tan head that lasts and leaves chunks of lacing all the way down the glass. Nose is of chocolate, coffee, hints of vanilla, and smoke in the background. Taste is similar with chocolate and coffee being the most prevalent, caramel malt backbone, with a smokiness that truly compliments it all. Light citrus hops on the finish with roasted malt coming through as well. Medium-light slick mouth feel with carbonation that tingles a bit.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black with a nice creamy tan head that leaves a nice stickiness on the glass. the smell and taste are of smoke, coffee, chocolate and malt. the smell has some other sweet qualities to it and the taste falls in the order listed above, with a finish that goes back to the coffee flavour for a nice dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Murky black pour with a tannish caramel head. Chocolately aroma with hints of malt and hops. Smooth mouthfeel with a perfect amount of carbonation artfully releases the chocolate, malt, coffee and caramel flavor. A subtle smoky aftertaste lingers after this one goes down. Not my favorite Stone but yet another solid brew.

Stone’s Smoked Porter is really good. It tastes like coffee, roasted malts, and chocolate.

Bottle at home. Pours a rich dark brown with a thick gorgeous tan head. Smells of smoke, malt, wheat, and chocolate with subtle hints of vanilla and coffee. The flavor is rich and mellow with only slight hints of alcohol. A good drinkable porter with a thick body and rich mouthfeel. I love it.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very dark pour with a generous head. Just a hint of chocolate brown in colouring. Smokey taste is mixed nicely so as not to be overpowering. It’s a nice dessert beer on the lighter side.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bottle, no freshness date. Almost pitch black with a bubbly and thick mocha-coloured head that leaves a lacy ring around the edges. Lots of chocolate on the nose, caramel, light vanilla. Taste is full of roasted malt and dark chocolate with a slight hoppy bitterness and a charred, smoky and ashy finish. Palate is creamy and smooth but a little light. Medium carbonation. Pretty nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance like coca-cola. Not an overly smokey porter which was harder to detect in aroma than in flavor. Taste was smooth. Hints of dark cherries and sweet, smokey malts. Pretty damn good.
