3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from 22oz bottle into tulip. Aroma is hoppy at first, then smoked malt, maybe a little earthiness. Beer is dark brown in color with a tan head which dissipates quickly leaving a fair amount of lacing. Taste is lightly sweet to a lightly bitter finish. Medium body with a slightly oily texture. Carbonation is average.
Overall good beer
Good example of a smoked porter.
Only paid $5.50 for 22oz bottle. Most other brews in 22oz on shelf were averaging $9.99 some as high as $14.99. For $5.50 it was well worth it, I will buy again at some point.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured deep and dark with a tan head. Aroma was a nice smokey hop smell. First drink I was blown away on the great smokey malt taste with a great chocolate backing. The smokey adds a great touch that moves the porter from a good beer to a great beer!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
definitely got the chocolate and coffee flavor. did not pick up a whole lot of the smoke flavor in it. i did have ruination the night before though, the affects of that may not have completely worn yet. thatís not a bad thing, some smokes taste like a campfire in your mouth. not a bad porter.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Medium head that hung around. Roasted malt aroma, smoke is subtle. Creamy and smooth, medium bodied. Some chocalate. Mildly sweet. Would gladly drink more if readily available.

first you can smell the aroma of smoke, and more smoke, the frothy, head sits atop a black,as night lake of beer but i was suprised this was very light in body, soft and creamy, with little to soft carbonation, and left a long finish, of a smoky fireplace behind i had this beer with smoked mozzarella and salami.

4.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled. Pours a thick motor oil black with no head. An incredible beer with smoke, chocolate, fruit, and caramel. Very smooth, very calm. Seems like it should be stronger, and it probably should be. Will definitely have to buy again.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours dark brown with a good light brown head that lasts. Aroma of sweet malt, flavor of chockolate and caramel, nice finish. All in all an excellent porter.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown/black with thick tan head. Sweet aroma, creamy texture. Nice sweet malt but only a hint of smoke and a bit short on finish.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very dark brown, almost black, with a huge brown head. When I tasted this beer cold out of the fridge, all I could taste was the smoke flavor. It was awful. If I would rate it before it warmed up a little, Iíd give Stone Smoked Porter a 1.5 at best. However, once it warms up just a little I taste coffee, dark fruit, and chocolate notes, and the roasted malt. Great beer, just donít drink it cold.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light malt aroma; deep amber appearance; malty with a light smoke taste; lightly fizzy on the palate with a quick finish; overall, a solid porter but not enough smoke or peat to live up to the name
