COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, dark and delicious porter with chocolate and coffee overtones accented by a subtle smokiness from just the right amount of peat smoked malt. Unlike a rauchbier, the "smoke" in Stone Smoked Porter is an ELEMENT of the character rather than being THE character. -- Greg Koch, Stone Brewing Co.

This is my favorite of all the Stone brews. It's smooth, a tad bitter, with just enough tang to make a good piece of chocolate taste really great.

Delicious and balanced roasted/smoky/chocolatey aroma. I daresay the flavors are perfectly balanced as well, with a nice roasted malt flavor that goes down smooth and doesn't finish tasting burnt. Rather it leaves you with a nice sweet taste in your mouth that asks for more. The larger bottles are a great serving size for these situations. Diagnosis: delicious.

Had this on tap at DBA in NYC and was knocked out. I usually do not like any beer with the word "smoked" in the name, but ordered it cause it was the only Stone brew offered that day & it was simply amazing. Tasty as hell - without being "too" anything. Subtle waves of flavor!

Do not make he mistake of drinking this beer too cold. It comes alive when it warms up. Pours very dark with a nice thick tan head. Feels light and silky on the tongue. Carmel, dark chocolate and a touch of vanilla then finishes with a lovley burnt espersso. Tastes like .... more.

I hoped my love for smoked chipotle peppers and a good porter would make this a favorite. Maybe I just have an unsophisticated palate, but this tastes like bacon-flavored beer.

This beer is above and beyond one of the all time best dark beers that you can have whenever and whatever still you prefer

This is the beer that made me look for more by Stone. Smokey, but not overwhelming. One of my favorites, a dark, full-bodied beer -- glad my "beer guy" can get the bombers by the case for me.

This is a dam good beer! I will be brewing it myself soon! aroma is sweet and smokey and it looks scary. The taste starts and ends with a slight smokiness. Nice job Stone!
