4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
so good, like every stone beer i have had
the beers aroma was mostly coffee and hinted very subtly at chocolate
the taste imo was very complex and amazing, strong coffee flavors with hints of chocolate and caramel which is very nicely ballanced by hoppy bitterness
will definitely drink again
very thick but not syrupy on the palate

Stone beer dinner at BJís Brew house. This is a very unique beer...itís like you took a really good stout and stuck it in your smoker for 24 hours. Caramel, vanilla and toffee flavors but itís the really great smoke flavor that comes through that made it stand out to me.

Bottle thanks to a friend of mine. Poured a jet dark black with a thin, bubbly, off white head. I liked the aroma of this one, almost charred. Like burnt mixed with sweet chocolate malts, carmel and coffee. Taste is even better, with heavy smoke. I havent had to many smoked beers, but Iím lovin this. Itís going great with my BBQ chicken, for the 4th of July I dont think Iíd want any other beer.

Smells like a campfire. Really nice dark beer with smokey BBQ-like flavors mixed with chocolate and coffee. It immediately feels like it's going to be harsh going down, but it's actually really smooth and has a great smokey finish. One of my favorites

Burnt coffee, and toast smells. Woody hops, little bit of smokiness. Fairly light aroma. Pours a very nice dark brown with red tinges. Tan head with minor lacing. Very bitter on the tongue, with a little bit of caramelly sweetness. Clean on the palette, doesnít leave any nasty residues or feelings. Leaves your mouth feeling refreshed.

Beautiful deep brown/red in color. Has a light head is tan, dissipates quickly leaving only small ring. Smokey, slightly bitter aroma. Very robust smokey taste. The dark chocolate/coffee malt is initial taste followed by a wonderfully balanced bitter, hoppy finish. Excellent porter.

Bomber poured black with a big beige head that dissipates quickly. Very drinkable coffee toffee caramel hints but not sweet. Best part is if you nurse it and let it warm , the last bit has an almost scotch/peaty smoke taste to it. Very nice autumn beer....Just like all the breweryís selections.
