Nice and rich, this is what a porter should taste like. Smooth and dry, dark in color, malty and smoky.

Jul 17, 2008 From bottle in snifter. Pillowing and colored head quickly recedes towards the black liquid leaving intermediate lacing. Yeast aroma pervades with little else. Smokey flavor with a little metallic note. Smooth chocolate flavors throughout, sweet. Subtle complexity, good porter.

Jul 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep dark amber-brown with a small creamy head. Big malty aroma, a bit sweet, with some smoke. Taste is more bitter, with smoke and meat, malt, and a hint of an alcohol bite. Great lingering malty bitterness. Very tasty porter.

Jul 16, 2008 22 oz bottle. Clear dark brown with some frothy tan haze. Nose is earthy grape and brown sugar with a faint sweet smokiness. Medium light with crisp carb; gets fuller with the finish. Taste is cocoa, coffee, greens and smoke. Solid but not very smoky.

Jul 15, 2008 22 oz. bomber served in an english pint. awesome beer. nose of ruby port and licorice. taste is heavy chocolate malt. not as smoky as i thought it would be. long, bitter finish. tasty and smooth, went down easy. highly recommended.

Jul 14, 2008 Pours a ruby brown color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, caramel malts, chocolate, and smoked oak. Taste is not as rich as I would have expected. Chocolate, caramel, and roasted malts, with a hoppy and bitter finish. Good, but a bit thin and hoppy for such a style.
