3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 fl oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a decent off white head and a nice grassy, chocolate, toasted aroma that mingles well. Big bitter hit in the flavour that isnt overbearing but fitting. Stone fruits and dark chocolate dominates the flavour with a hint of espresso coffee. Very nice beer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This ale has a nice floral aroma. It is very dark golden with a small head. The hop strength is full, yet it really doesnít overpower the caramelized malty taste. Overall, this is a strong tasting ale and is quite good.

Love it, love it, love it! Big, dark and rich, with a balanced body of dark chocolate, caramel, cascade hops, finishing with a long and delicious length. Spicy hops linger.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at GABF 2013. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is orange citrus fruit with some grassy hoppy notes. The flavour is weak bitter with a dry malt spicy hop palate. The aroma was much better than the taste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a deep brown almost black color. Aroma is citrus, and pine with a good scent of the alcohol content. The taste of the alcohol content comes through initially, with a hoppy bitter aftertaste. A bit of moldy, wet taste on the palate after the swallow. A good beer for the style.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap, served in a pint glass. Pours dark black/brown with a small beige head. Nose is pine/citrus. Flavor is malt, cocoa, chocolate, with a bitter hoppy finish. Medium mouthfeel. Typically Iím not a fan of black IPAs, but I thought this was quite good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A - Poured a dark brown to black with a small tan head that lingers throughout.
S - Lots of roasted chocolate
T - Again chocolate comes through along with a nice bittering from the hops. Finishes with a strong bitter hop taste with a slight warm alcohol tinge.
M - Fairly light, but good carbonation. Not too heavy, but does have a good thickness to it.
D - Another great beer from Stone. Not an overally complex beer, but it goes down pretty smooth and if you like a chocolate profile youíll like this one.
