4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I’ve had this a few times now. A very different BIPA for mine. Super piney and grapefruit flavours and abit grassy. But also blended well with some chocolate, coffee and bitter vanilla. If you’re a fan of the style this is great

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A- Hoppy, spices, malty, roasty.
A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head.
T- Very bitter, malty, roasty, spices, caramel.
P- Full body, sharp texture, average carbonation, spiced bitter finish.
O- Wow. The bottle I had was well past the best by date and it still kicked you in the face. If you like bitterness this is a good choice. I didn’t expect to like it as I don’t go crazy over Stone and IPA is far from my favorite style but this one was pretty solid. Lots of hops and spice make this a well balanced brew.

From a bottle. Pours thick dark brown, thin lasting tan head, rich roasted flavours with only a mild lingering bitterness. Dangerously drinkable.

One of the best black IPAs out there. Great balance with the dark malts, pale and hops. I think this is what Greg Noonan is drinking up in heaven.
