Pour on tap at Black Bottle, dark brownish red pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of slight cocoa, hints of earth, nice red wine in ther going into a slightly trashy, boozy note. Taste is a mix of cocoa, red wine, earth, some dark fruit into cocoa, coffee, some boozy, trashy, finishing sweet.

On tap at brewery. Black with a creamy light brown head. Big chocolate, citrus, and red wine barrel aroma. Bright silky palate. Strong red wine, dark chocolate, vanilla, orange, and roasted grain taste with a malty candy finish. Outstanding.

Had it on tap at World of Beer in Evanston IL. Smells of a light sweet porter with a white head. Tastes like red wine with notes of a porter.

On tap @ 38 Degrees/The Full Pint 6th. Black pour with a khaki head. Really roasty nose, some smoke, and a ton of oak. Red wine comes through, slight butter, apple, and some cocoa powder. Flavor of smoke, oak, and red wine. A hint of butter, cocoa powder, roasted malt, chalk, and apple.

Tap at 38 Degrees for The Full Pint Anniversary party. Pours a muddy, deep brown with medium foam and excellent lacing. Nose is Scotch barrel, cinnamon, red apple, something savory..smoke. Taste is woody, over oaked again, dusty, tannic. Strange.
