>> Witty moron. Ruby highlights on deep brown pour with minimal foam. Black saison nose with sage, burnt thyme, cocoa powder. Super herbal taste, extreme candied ginger, sage, thyme, burnt lemon. Mouthfeel is very watery.

Pour on tap at Boneyard, dark brownish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of cocoa powder, roast, coffee into a bit of toasted bread, some slight red and white fruits, hints of a grainy note. Taste is a mix of pine, grass, slight orange into a bit of caramel, toffee, roasted malt into a bit of dark cocoa, slight spice from the yeast, finishing spicy, dry.

Poured up on tap at Liberty Station where it exhibits a murky dark brown body that supports a tan head and leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up banana esters as well as a light Porter like bunt maltiness with some coriander spice and a faint plum candy note. The taste is soft and supple and quickly gets into light banana sweet esters, bigger spicy coriander and yeasty sort of spice notes. To midway it picks up a bit of burnt malts that take it into the finish. Nice light finish that has a touch of fruitiness to go along with the lingering burnt malts.

Dark brown color. Soapy nose with coriander, orange peel and roasted Malts. Light body. Really nice balance of the styles and highly unique. Lovely.

This beer has a great Witbier flavor. Nice and dark as well. It’s a nice addition to the Stone collection.

Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Mild roasted and chocolate malts, zesty coriander notes, hints of bitterness, and light almost citric fruity notes. Odd, but it kind of works.

On tap at Liberty Station. It poured a black color with an off-white head. The aroma was of grass, florals, roast and light chocolate. The taste was of hops, perfume, grass, hay, chocolate and roasted notes. Nice.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2014 Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Brownish-black color with a medium fluffy beige head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing. Aroma of roast malt, fruit and spices. Light-bodied with flavors of toasty malt, spiced wheat and fruit. The finish is herbal wheat and malt. Above average overall.

"A solid wit behind a mask of dark malts. They come through on the palate more in feel than flavor or aroma, though there is a very light chocolat & roasted malt aspect. Mostly a refreshingly fruity, but slightly more complex than usual wit. Kinda reminds of the Bruery’s equally as good version of a black white."
