On tap at Stone Brewing garden in Escondido, CA. I got the last glassful squeezed out of the cask. Opaque, black-brown with a small khaki head and fair lacing. Aroma of chocolate, wheat, orange and cola. Taste of chocolate, wheat, roasted malt, orange and especially cola. Medium body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Brown beer with a dark cream head. Wheat and light spice aroma. Cocoa and wheat flavor with floral notes. Medium bodied. Cocoa and wheat linger with light floral notes.

On tap at Diving Dog in Oakland. It pours a dark brown color with a khaki head. The aroma is light roasted malt, light cocoa and lots of cola. Root beer too... The flavor is weird with lavender soap, hints of orange peel, root beer and toasted malt. Strange.

Draught at Stone @ SAN. Pours a deep brown, almost black. Aroma of orange zest, roasty malt, yeast. Taste is sweet and gently bitter. Creamy mouthfeel from a medium effervescence.

dradft, it was a decent idea. This beer is fine, nothing great and nothing bad. dark and added a roasty component to a wit.

Draft at Stone Escondido. Pours very dark brown with a fizzy beige head and decent lacing. Tastes like dark bitter coffee, earthy, light yeast, bitter hops. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like burnt toast, dry bitter hops, dry spice, and some dark chocolate.

Tap at liberty station. Pours deep, dark brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is chocolate, light roast, Belgian yeast esters, some spice, and some clove. Flavor is rich and chocolaty with some smooth yeast esters, spicy hops, and a touch of earthiness. Medium body and carbonation.

>> Witty moron. Ruby highlights on deep brown pour with minimal foam. Black saison nose with sage, burnt thyme, cocoa powder. Super herbal taste, extreme candied ginger, sage, thyme, burnt lemon. Mouthfeel is very watery.

Pour on tap at Boneyard, dark brownish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of cocoa powder, roast, coffee into a bit of toasted bread, some slight red and white fruits, hints of a grainy note. Taste is a mix of pine, grass, slight orange into a bit of caramel, toffee, roasted malt into a bit of dark cocoa, slight spice from the yeast, finishing spicy, dry.
