COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We were inspired to brew this style of beer by the European village breweries whose ales were brewed and delivered fresh to be enjoyed in the pubs of the surrounding local area. Draught Ale is brewed to be served fresh in the many great watering holes just down the road; therefore we don’t need to filter or pastuerise it. We want it to be served over the bar just like it is in our storage tank at the brewery. Brewed with local water from the Byron Bay hinterland, Australian grown barley, wheat, and hops, and carefully selected ale yeast we have crafted a beer with complex flavours and a clean bitter finish.

Formerly known as Draught Ale.

on tap at the hop factory on darby st, newcastle. very pale, cider-like appearance with a minimal head but decent lacing; aroma of lychee; quick and simple flavours - toffee and lemon zest, hint of stale cider. a bit dull. happy birthday, helen!

330ml bottle. Rather lager-like in that it poured a lively, clear pale straw yellow with a foamy one-finger white head atop. Fresh and juicy aromas of lemon, mango and tangerine. Similar flavour-wise with a gentle pale malt sweetness finishing with a zesty, pithy bitterness of low intensity and short duration. Light to medium body, medium carbonation with a near watery palate texture. Balanced, crisp and quaffable but lacks bite and mid-palate presence. Nice enough but let down somewhat by the body and finish.

Beautiful sunday afternoon drop with flavours well crafted to suit the heaviness. Smooth to drink. Good head golden appearance. Very nice beer. Best ive tried in a long time. Best consumed though by the 6pack on occasions. Not a day to day beverage.

Bottle at Byrons, Kingston. Slightly cloudy, pale yellow and very little head. Bags of citrusy hops but overall a bit thin and watery.

May 2014 - Keg at Draft House. Very pale yellow, pretty clear, two finger bubbly white head. Aroma - lager malt, light citrus. Body is light, medium carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste - toned down, very soft malts, touch of lemon and cream, semisweet lemon meringue, soft bitterness. Flavour is decent - just not enough of it for me. (3.4)

Aug 2014 - Keg at LCBF. Pale yellow, a bit cloudy, small white head. Aroma is very light with some background citrus. Body is medium to light, high carbonation. Taste is lemon, musty malt. This batch is overcarbonated. (3.2)

Comes out straw coloured. But the first contact with the aroma gives you a glimpse of a Pacific island. Lots of beach fruit. Lychees, rockmelon, possibly mango come through. Has a spritz feeling before sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at the Exmouth Arms, London on 12 April 2014. Poured a cloudy yellow, with a thin white head. Aroma of satsuma, honey and grass. Some citrus hop flavour, lemon zest and bready malt. Finish was flowery, with some straw and boiled sweets.

Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours lightly hazed yellow ith a tight, white cream head. There’s definitely some tangy citrus on the nose, lemon in particular. Light sweet flavor with lots of zippy, pale citrus fruits, suggestions of brett, salty lemon, touches of pale bread sweetness. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Cleansing to finish with more lightly tart lemon, hints of bitter citrus rind, a flurry of salty bite. Well, this is damn tasty; but it drinks like a Berliner weisse and I can only imagine it is not the Stone and Wood...well, I enjoyed it.

Was consumed out of a stubby. Need to mix the sediment in the bottle for any real flavour. A nice light drop overall good aroma with floral fruity taste 22 bucks for a sixy..
