COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We were inspired to brew this style of beer by the European village breweries whose ales were brewed and delivered fresh to be enjoyed in the pubs of the surrounding local area. Draught Ale is brewed to be served fresh in the many great watering holes just down the road; therefore we don’t need to filter or pastuerise it. We want it to be served over the bar just like it is in our storage tank at the brewery. Brewed with local water from the Byron Bay hinterland, Australian grown barley, wheat, and hops, and carefully selected ale yeast we have crafted a beer with complex flavours and a clean bitter finish.

Formerly known as Draught Ale.

Bottle from The Ale House, Chelmsford, Essex. Quite powerful but certainly not unpleasant floral/citrus aroma. Easy drinking and enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2012 Tap at the local taphouse. Clear yellow pour little head. Nose smells wonderful loads of Citrus, grapefruit and hints of passion fruit. Im sensing nelson sauvin hops? Taste is so easy going. light malt backing and little to no bitterness. Citrus shines through. Great session beer. Goes down so easy

500ml bottle. Pours a pale straw, with a white head. Dry, light bodied, low to medium bitterness, balanced CO2. Hoppy, fruity taste, grapefruit, grass, hints of yeast. Refreshing. (2012-11-21)

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2012 I had to re-rate this beer. The first time I had it, it was completely different to what I had expected and I think I under-rated it because of this. This is a really good beer. Beautful aroma of apricot hops. A really sharp clean feel on this beer with a dry, only slightly bitter, finish. The lightish body and higher carboantion make it incredibly refreshing. I am really impressed with this beer, and despite its fruity aroma it is not overly sweet at all and easily sessionable.

Best Before 25/Feb/2013. Poured a translucent yellow gold colour with a two-finger white foamy head that retained moderately well. Laced moderately well. High carbonation. Aroma of sweet tropical fruits, hops, and possibly some citrus. Taste initally of sweet tropical fruits followed by a crisp hops bitterness. Hops flavour not over the top. Medium body. Sweet and crisp finish. Very refreshing. Best consumed as a cool drink as, for me, lost its appeal as it warmed up.

GBBF. Last beer of a long day and somewhat truncated notes. Guess this must have been from a bottle. Light crisp beer with a semi dry palate. Light hops with a little mango. Decent. 3.5

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is crisp and semi dry. Minerals. Nice light tropical fruit hops - peach. apricot and mango in equal proportions. Light dry finish. A light and refreshing beer without ever being wimpy. Great fresh fruits.

500mL bottle. Pours clear pale straw with a thin white head that coats the glass. Grassy and slightly citrusy hop aroma, a little yeast and some esters. Mild malty flavour, some fruit, mild sweetness and minimal bitterness. Light body but a fuller mouthfeel (presumably the wheat), lively carbonation, fairly creamy and a fairly short finish.

Keg @ The Old Red Cow. The pour’s light gold with a fluffy head. The nose is light angel food cake, soft sugar, plenty of dank citrus and tropical undergrowth. Great aroma. The taste is more angel food cake, donut, some citrus and tropical fruits. Mildly chalky. Very light body, extremely fizzy. Crisp. Overall, fairly decent, light but flavorful. A good ’lawnmower’ beer. Not demanding.

In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a pale straw colour with a fair white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, lemon, caramel, white pepper and alcohol. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Lingering passion fruit and quite dry to finish.
