3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
In bottle at Craigís. Pours a pale straw colour with a fair white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, lemon, caramel, white pepper and alcohol. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Lingering passion fruit and quite dry to finish.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
An underwhelming summer refresher dominated by the distinctive cat-pee aroma of Galaxy hops. Iím not a real fan - probably cleaned up too much cat piss over the years. Looks good. Hazy, unfiltered gold with a thick head and excellent retention. Aroma is all Galaxy - vegetal, uric, sweaty and packed with tropical fruit. Passionfruit and canned peaches. The fizzy mouthfeel is grabby and burp-inducing. Too skinny in the middle - could use a heavier malt bill. Some bitterness in the finish. I get why this is so popular - itís more flavoursome than the average quencher but itís just not my taste. One-dimensional. (330ml bottle from Leura Cellars)

A-- Poured a clear straw yellow color. Lots of visible carbonation shown in this. Half finger of bright white head. Maybe one finger of head on swirling.
S-- Pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and lemon grass. Really makes me think of a Pavlova when I smell this. Really good use of Galaxy hops in this. Just small bits of spice in this for good measure.
T-- Lots of fresh cut grass and lemon grass. Not overly big but subtle and long lasting. Grass does die off and go to lemon pretty quick.
M-- Light bodied and high carbonation. Not overly complex though. Gets a bit sour after a while and the qualities that stand out with the grass change to lemon. More like candied sprite actually.
D-- Total session beer. Can have several.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
pours clear and light gold with some pleasant fruity aromas, more stone fruit in the flavour and a subtle malt backbone make it a fairly drinkable beer, would be great on a hot afternoon.

500mL bottle. Pours clear almost straw with a nice light passionfruit like aroma.
Has a slight doughy taste with the citrus hops and decent carbonation. Nice flavourful beer.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a cloudy yellow-amber with no carbonation weak white head that dissappeared almost instantly. Aroma a giant whack of passionfruit and cant detect anything under it. Flavour is good though; passionfruit-like citrus dominates with a moderate yeasty bitter following. Medium bodied and soft on palate with pleasant bitter finish. Refreshing and different, but not a whole lot of complexity here. Would drink in summer.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2012 Bottle. Looks great when poured, but its all down hill from there. Packs a weak hoppy punch at first, then fades away to nothing. Well and truly over carbonated. Not a great beer at all.

A solid find on my travels (The Standard, Brunswick VIC). Fantastic on a cold or hot day, and definitely an all-nighter. Slight citrus and sweet aroma, with a similar accompanying taste. No aftertaste, and not so flowery that you forget you?re drinking beer. Good from the bottle, preferable from the tap in a pint glass. Worth a space for a six pack in your fridge at least once or twice.
