We were inspired to brew this style of beer by the European village breweries whose ales were brewed and delivered fresh to be enjoyed in the pubs of the surrounding local area. Draught Ale is brewed to be served fresh in the many great watering holes just down the road; therefore we don’t need to filter or pastuerise it. We want it to be served over the bar just like it is in our storage tank at the brewery. Brewed with local water from the Byron Bay hinterland, Australian grown barley, wheat, and hops, and carefully selected ale yeast we have crafted a beer with complex flavours and a clean bitter finish.

Formerly known as Draught Ale.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2012 I had to re-rate this beer. The first time I had it, it was completely different to what I had expected and I think I under-rated it because of this. This is a really good beer. Beautful aroma of apricot hops. A really sharp clean feel on this beer with a dry, only slightly bitter, finish. The lightish body and higher carboantion make it incredibly refreshing. I am really impressed with this beer, and despite its fruity aroma it is not overly sweet at all and easily sessionable.

Sweet and moderately bodied beer that loves hot weather. Fruity but quite gassy and has a lingering chemical aftertaste.

TAP. See through straw colour small head disappears quickly. Sweet tropical fruits on the nose, with pineapple & passionfruit the biggest flavours coming through in the mouth. Very sweet. Sourced Fire Station Busselton

A beautiful golden straw colour with a small head, as well as an interesting aroma, a bit of hops and fruitier flavours. Fruit flavours continue in the taste, as do hops, a complex one this and very drinkable.

Light blonde pour. Smells of bright passion fruit and tropicals. Taste is the same but quite thin. Very refreshing. Good session beer certainly.

330ml bottle from Good Spirits Co. Golden yellow, good head. Earthy yeasty lemon aroma. Flowery yeasty flavour. Sour aftertaste. Mre a Belgian ale or saison than a golden ale.

Pale straw colour with medium white head. Pungent fruity aroma. Passionfruit and pineapple/mango. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Taste is clean without too much character. Low bitterness and hardly any malt, just a slightly grainy character. Crisp finish.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2014 Looks way too light to be good - but don’t be fooled. This beer has an alluring aroma which is backed up by a brilliantly balanced taste. One of the best Australian beers I have had (and unbelievably good given it’s low alcohol content).

Totally individual. Fruity. Refreshing. Unique. Sensational. The only problem is that it is so hard to find. As soon as anyone gets any stock, it disappears.
