COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stone & Wood Pale Lager has a sparkling light colour, and a flavour that strikes a fine balance between its subtle hop aroma and full malt palate with a soft clean finish.

Pours a clear, pale golden colour with a white foam head. Has a lightly bitter taste with a thin feel. Only average carbonation, leaves a bitter after taste. By the books pale lager.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2013 Bottle 33 cl from a centrally located bottle shop in Melbourne I didn’t note the name of. Sampled on July 26, 2013.
Edit, it was apparently "vintage cellars - little bourke street (chinatown)".
Clear golden color, white head. Sweet, malty scent. Malty, sweet taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Bottle. Not a bad pale lager, better than your mainstream big brewery lagers. This beer would be vey refreshing after a hard days work.

bluevegie (3049) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 30, 2009
Clear pale gold body with short white head. Sweet malts on the aroma and in the taste, soft carbonation and not a lot of bitterness. A couple of stubbies went down easy enough and probably could drink even more as it was pretty simple and had nothing filling it out but I think the price might be a bit too high for most punters.

Pyobon (891) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 16, 2010
Bottle. Clear pale straw colour with decent white head. Vegetably hop aroma. Light body and fizzy. Tangy lemony start, followed by slightly sweet maltiness with a slightly bitter finish that is unpleasantly harsh. Mostly bland, but the flavour that is there is poor. Overall bland, unimpressive, but ultimately drinkable.

Muggus69 (1132) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - OCT 26, 2009
Draught at Australian Beer Festival, Sydney. Very pale looking lager, small head. Hint of hops on the nose. Full sort of body, decent carbonation. Not a great deal of flavour, some floral sort of hops on the finish, slight metallic note in there. Not particularly great.

Davros (1859) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 5, 2011
Pours gold with a large, lasting head. Nose shows big grassy/spicy hops with little else noticeable. Some bready malt shows as a flavour, supported by the grassy hops. Falls flat quickly though. Body feels quite watery, carbonation is too high.
