1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Green bottle with white block lettering, the ampersand links the words ’stone’ and ’wood’. A PALE LAGER, FROM AUSTRALIA. It pours clear pale straw. Nil hops. Nice and bland. "Not offensive", that’s a POSITIVE! What’s the point? CUB and Lion Nathan already dominate this market.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle- Pours a pale yellow color with a fizzy head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma is a bit musty with some malt sweetness and some grain. Taste of malt sweetness and some fruit in the background. Mild bitterness with a fairly clean finish. Light body, quite smooth and pretty bland. Reminds me of a typical non-offensive Euro Lager.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Another weak and listless beer from Stone and Wood. Lacks any flavour or vigour, bit like drinking soda water.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Not a bad pale lager, better than your mainstream big brewery lagers.
This beer would be vey refreshing after a hard days work.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours gold with a large, lasting head.
Nose shows big grassy/spicy hops with little else noticeable.
Some bready malt shows as a flavour, supported by the grassy hops. Falls flat quickly though.
Body feels quite watery, carbonation is too high.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
very disappointing beer. The appearance is deceiving there is pretty much no flavour what so ever. Just amber and bubbles. Definitely pass on this one.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
After a fizzing pop the beer pours lovely and golden with a loosly packed white foam. Strong yeasty and unpleasent alcoholic aromas dominate. The beer is lightly bodied and slightly watery. Its flavour is sweet and theres really not much else. This lager certainly lacks imagination.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Out the bottle, chilled and into a pilsner glass. Big burst once the cap comes off sees it rise up and out. Very lively on the pour too. A few minutes later and I have a bright medium gold lager with a mixed bag of bubbles raising up little more than a single loose layer of white suds. Dry, grassy hop, mildly vegetal nose with a good whack of fresh cracked, black pepper and a hint of lemony sour malt and barnyard grit (Australia’s first original Euro-lager on the nose!). Dry palate with a herbal zing to it. Mildly bitter, metallic POR-like swallow, dusty, with some cardboardy malt. Body is light, watery, well-lagered with some fizz. Metallic aftertaste lingers. Not too good at all really. They captured a little ’VB’ and ’Crown’ in the flavour of this one, hopefully intentionally to justify its all Aussie macro taste, despite the Euro-trash aroma. Hmmm!!
