Pours dark red with white head, aroma is some vanilla, touch of caramel and toffee. Taste is some light sweet vanilla, caramel, sweet finish. Average, a bit watery, lacking overall.

5 oz pour. It is a generic, malty scotch ale. No smokiness, no luscious caramel.

On tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest 2009. Murky brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is mildly sour with malt, toffee and dark fruit. Flavor is in line with the aroma with a somewhat dry finish. It’s okay…

I had this on tap yesterday at the brewery which was actually tapped that day so i can’t find any info on this beer other then what the brewer told me. Semi clear amber colour, decent malt nose with possibly a hint of bourbon, and some raisin-caramel notes. Taste is smooth, hint of sweetness. generous amount of prune/toffee flavours near the finish. Great beer, my only one at the brewery!
