UPDATED: OCT 24, 2009 Cask (HBF2009)
Weird plastic or rubber aroma. Soft light grainy body, vanilla cream. Simple and tasty. Finish is light maltiness and some fruity bitterness. (6-3-7-3-12=3.1)
Cask (Angleterre, Helsinki)
Lemongrass and slight ginger aroma. Pale orange, but persistent frothy head. Palate soft, carbonation low, smooth. Taste is beautifully soft maltiness, and lots of hints of butter and sweet lemongrass. I could dip artichoke in this - great! Finish is soft, salty, buttery.

Cask Conditioned at Coal Hole, London
Hazy golden color; compact head, nice lace. Amazing Golden Ale, with the classic malt (here quite strong), hop (milder) and a light fruity aroma, it has a mix of cookies, lemon (or is it lemon cookies?) and light pine needles. In the final the malt is crispy too, and there is caramel and bold bitterness. Excellent.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at Horniman at Hay’s. Gold, lasting white head. A bit startling with the fruit, like children’s lime sweets, bit of rhubarb and custard too. Not unpleasant, good condition, just startling as I say, some hop on finish. A bizarre lime grapefruit rhubarb concoction. Alarming.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at Turf Tavern. Pale golden beer with a thin white head. Very soft subtle aroma. A touch of wheat malt spiciness and a lightly fruity hoppiness. Some softly lemony citrus and a bit of challenger-esque hop flavour. It’s quite light and subtle, but still not a bad beer.
