COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - June to August.
Brewed at OG 1044 and ABV 4.5%. Eye-Opener is a beautiful golden, dry and smooth premium bitter with a hint of toffee, which compliments the citrusy and spicy flavours. A touch of magic and a hint of mystery is left on the palate.

Cask @ Drum and Monkey. Clear golden colour, white head. This is not a bitter, its a golden ale and a very decent one as well. Nose is tropical fruits, marzipan. Flavour is tropical fruits, peach, citrus, slight marzipan. Slightly sweet and dry finish. Extremely good drinkable.

Sorachi ace hops! Pale blonde with gentle carbonation and a fruity malt nose. Lemongrass flavours and a touch of hay, but didn’t pick up that it was sorachi ace as I normally do.

Tasted this in Tennent’s Bar, Glasgow in November 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear straw yellow in colour with a thin white head. Golden syrup notes in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a strong fruit note of creamy peaches and lychees. Peppery notes detected in the hop resins, giving a dry dusty bitter aftertaste. Finish is fruity with ripe nectarines so smooth in the juicy mouth. An excellent session bitter, especially for the summer.

Slightly nutty, slightly sweet, interesting bitter dominated by malt. Hints of toffee and caramel and even a touch spicy. No massive hop character. Good beer.

Cask conditioned at The Royal Oak, Oxford. Gold with white head. Excellent conditioning to this, some caramel, some oaty malts, plenty of depth and a spicy hint to the hops. Pretty good.
