COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - June & July.
Traditionally brewed at OG 1044 and ABV 4.6%, fermented and "lagered" at low, controlled temperatures. Only the finest ingredients of malt, lager hops, lager yeast and brewing water are used. It is a very high quality beer without any brewing adjuncts at all. The result is a clean, crisp and refreshing Real Premium Lager with a nice bitter aftertaste that lingers on.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma of grass and nettle with a hint of sulphur. Sweetish thin caramel flavour with nettle and other herbal hop notes in a bitter finish

Clear medium yellow amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel, nutty, light roasted, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090807]

Cask at GBBF 2009. Clear paleish gold, thin white head. Lager like. Itís an ok golden ale/lager. Lager mouth drinkability. Now that I know itís a lager my rating makes sense. Itís ok.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Clear amber color, small white head. Tiny white head. Aroma is fresh wood, almost a bit herbal. Flavor is same, herbal notes with fresh wood flavors. Light palate. Lingering woody bitterness in the aftertaste. Easy.

Cask@GBBF2009. Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel, bready malts as well as some wooden, fruity and mildly strange sweetish notes. Flavour is malts, some wooden notes as well as some earthy notes.

Gravity, Far From The Madding Crowd. Pale copper, a few scattered white bubbles. A bit of odd apple aroma, hammy meatiness, a bit of copper penny. Clumsy metallic malt, a grainy lager sort of character, but of a messy, unfocused sort. Metal after taste. A bit of coarse herbal hops. I like to see British breweries having a try at lager, but this one is a mess.

StueyD (1160) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2007
A pale golden orange coloured beer with very little head to speak of. A very weak malt and hop aroma with a faint hint of spice. A dry malty taste, some zesty hop fruitiness, but all just a little wanting. Dry finish. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds Summer Beer Festival 2007, Heacham, Norfolk).
