Commercial Description:
Cask Conditioned Lager;
Traditionally brewed at OG 1044 and ABV 4.6%, fermented and "lagered" at low, controlled temperatures. Only the finest ingredients of malt, lager hops, lager yeast and brewing water are used. It is a very high quality beer without any brewing adjuncts at all. The result is a clean, crisp and refreshing Real Premium Lager with a nice bitter aftertaste that lingers on.

Gravity, Far From The Madding Crowd. Pale copper, a few scattered white bubbles. A bit of odd apple aroma, hammy meatiness, a bit of copper penny. Clumsy metallic malt, a grainy lager sort of character, but of a messy, unfocused sort. Metal after taste. A bit of coarse herbal hops. I like to see British breweries having a try at lager, but this one is a mess.

A pale golden orange coloured beer with very little head to speak of. A very weak malt and hop aroma with a faint hint of spice. A dry malty taste, some zesty hop fruitiness, but all just a little wanting. Dry finish. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds Summer Beer Festival 2007, Heacham, Norfolk).

Cask conditioned - handpump - Romany Northampton. A light blonde coloured beer with a white head. An unmistakeable lagery feel to this beer but in aroma and taste. Some lemony hop notes just take it away from the boring, but it is uneventful. No alcohol notes.

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough, London. Pours a clear pale yellow colour with a small white head. Fruity grassy aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty and grassy flavor with some hints of hops. Fruity hoppy aftertaste.
