Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - December & January.
The dark amber color and body derived from crystal malt combined with the Goldings aroma hops gives it just the right warmth and flavor which a real beer lover needs in the wintertime.

Bottle from 2004. Pours a clear red-brown colour with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet with well toasted caramel, some spices and toasted malt. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a soft sweetness with well toasted caramel and malt, some spices, a nice mild bitterness and some dark fruits.

Fynske Øldage 2005, Odense. Dark amber with a nice aroma with notes of hops and caramel. The flavour has nice notes of aroma hops/fruit, roasted malt, caramel and light sweetness. Nicely balanced and full-bodied, and I like beers that have this much taste even if the ABV is low. Yummi!

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 9/1/08. Reddish-amber in colour with a decent off-white head. Caramel and red fruit aroma with a malty flavour and slightly sour finish. Unremarkable.

Beautiful mahogany color; small head. Strange beer, a caramel-based low-bitterness ale, with a light fruitness and probably a bit stale (some Madeira wine…)

Bottle. Clear dark amber with off white head. Aroma of brown sugar, figs and sweet malt. Sweet and malty flavourwith a hint of figs and a good bitter finish as one would expect. A little watery.
