2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Lord Rosebery, Scarborough. ABV was 4.6%. The barman asked me: "Are you SURE you want this beer? - itís GREEN!" - even though I ordered merely a half pint. He also offered me a free sample of a few centiliters first, to see if I liked it. Of course I insisted on trying it, and asked if he by "green" meant that the cask was too "young" and shouldnít have been put on yet. But no, green was indeed the actual colour of the beer - poisonous green, you might say. Creamy white head with a greenish hue. Moderate aroma where nothing stood out. Moderately fruity flavour with a dry finish. Drinkable, but the green colour is just a gimmick - I would rather have a beer with a more pronounced aroma and richer flavour.

Spring green! Used to love this beer now a tad dull. Slight acetaldehyde gren apple plus grassy cereal nose. Bland cereal malt body, abrupt finish. Its ok but a third is plenty.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2012 Cask; a wholly unexpected deep lime green, looked like absinthe in the darkness of the pub; cloudy; thin head; hops - woody? - prevailed in the taste; a shade citrussy; dryish finish; the colour is the only thing that stands out about this otherwise inoffensive bitter; someone told me itís just Pigswill with food colouring?

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Winchester Beer festival. While the colour is certainly striking, this is a fairly conventional, pale tasting bitter. Aside from the green colour, I found the aromas floral but somewhat sulphurous (whether this was just a one off I donít know). In flavour it was hoppy, like a golden ale but lacking in body.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
First tasted this in Gabriels, Paisley in April 1998 and more recently in the Saltcot, Saltcoats in May 2007. Cask, handpump dispense. Unusual looking colour of pale lime green (like limeade!) with a thin white head. Dusty hops present in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives thin biscuit malt with citric fruit notes of kiwi, diluted lime juice and gooseberry - maybe the visuals affect the taste! Fresh hop flowers evident in the dusty short aroma. Refreshing bitter sweet finish with the fruit edging it. An ideal session ale for the springtime.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask @ Odiham & Greywell Cricket Club. Poured light green in colour which I thought was pleasantly unique and interesting. Once you get beyond its appearance, it does have a lot going for it with a floral aroma and deep bitter-sweet/malty finish that gives pleasant and drinkable flavour. Worth a try for sure.

Aroma is malty with some hops, kool-aid green, small off-white head and lace. Flavour is light malt, hops are well infused. Light bodied, easy to drink if you donít look at the colour. Fair.
