4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a golden ruby from a 3l bottle.
Nose is huge caramel, raisins, floral hops, tons. Of sweetness.
Taste has huge depth, lots of caramel, raisin, moderate hop bitterness, earthiness, toffee, booze heat, everything is very well balanced.

Winter Storm. Pours hazy caramelly brown with a big, offwhite head, specks of lace. Smells sweet and caramelly. Oxidized nicely. Hints of vanilla. Tastes sweet and oxidized, malty. Spicy hops as well, sweetness. Very nice. Full body, good carbonation.

On tap at Stone. Woohoo! Copper pour with almost no carbonation showing in an unfortunately small taster size glass. I wanted to get to know this brew in a snifter, at least! Nose is alcohol and sharp dark fruit. Taste is same as nose. Alcohol, in a good way. Dark fruit. Bit of spiciness. Nice to get to try this brew.

It doesnít shock me that OhioDad shared this at the last Columbus tasting--thatís just the type of incredibly generous guy he is....Thanks a ton Scott. Pours a caramel brown color with a white head. The aroma was mostly caramel malt and heat. Very full palate. Lots of caramel malt flavors are followed by a spicey hop presence. It ends with a solid alcohol warmth in your throat.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Held on to my bottle for 4+ years. Drank the beer nearly a year ago and only have vague memories of candied sugar, multiple hop blends, well-blended malts covering the quite high ABV. Golden color with perfect carbonation and a respectable head on the initial pour. Classic belgian yeast on the finish. The beer did not taste degraded in the slightest.

Thanks Winston for a taste of this hard to get beer. This is solid. Aggressive hops experienced and right up my alley. Caramel, raisins, and citrus hops abound. Yum!

Rating #71. On draft at Stone Winter Storm. First beer at 8:45 am. Poured a golden amber color thin bubbly head. Aroma was sweet honey and very buttery. Taste was hops, malts, a little hot. Very good barley wine. Glad I got to try this and remain around for the rest of the day for the other great shit available.

Hazy orange copper wtih a medium sized medium lasting off white rim of a head. Nose is very sweet and suggary with malts and sugars syrup with some hints of like a cream sherry. Taste is just about the same, again very weet and sugary witha nice kick of almond. Taste is kind of like a sweet tart.

Draft @ the brewery. What a treat to try this one. This beer is scary good and what makes it even more scary is I would have never guessed that it would have been 12+% alcohol. Awesome brew. Very crisp.
