500ml bottle (Drink Shop, Tallinn)
Fairly pale and clear, spritzy carbonation. Huge apple juice aroma, right from opening the bottle. Closer, it’s got a lovely dry bite to it, a sharpness, almost sour. Lovely. Crisp bite in the mouth, really refreshing. Carbonation pleasant. Plenty of residual apple, but a lovely balance between juicy sweetness and sharp dry sourness. Lovely medium dry cider, every mouthful gives you a smack in the chops.

Enjoyable cider. Sweet but balanced nicely by acidic tart flavor. Puckering at end. Odd aroma at first. First cider rating.

When God was giving out cider He missed out the Irish - we were probably too full of Guinness to notice. Bulmers stepped in with a 3/10 sweetish effort and stopped any decent cider getting out. Fortunately with the advent of smaller breweries producing better beer all round Ireland has started providing better beer including some not bad ciders. Stonewell is just that. Not bad. Nicely dry. Quite refreshing and crisp. One of the best Irish ciders around. A bit expensive at 4 euro for a Supermarket bottle but hopefully a good sign of things to come.

Draught @ the headline. Clear straw gold, lots of fizzy bubbles. Granny smith sour apple nose. Big flavour, saliva ramping apple sweetness, nice dry appleskin backing. Light, not too fizzy, sweet finish. Really nice, if slight too sweet toward the finish.

Bottle. I usually avoid Cider but finished the bottle off that my wife had been drinking whilst on holiday in Ireland during October 2013. Clear yellow appearance with a smooth body. Slightly dry with a fresh apple flavour that does not dominate. An eye opener.
