Late March 2005, on tap at the Ship, St-John’s. Golden ale with a thin white head. Faint biscuitty malt with honey notes. Light milky malt with honey and hemp notes, lighter bodied.

Cloudy slightly pink hued orange-golden beer. White fast-fading head. Very dusty and musty aroma. Woodsy with faint cherry/strawberry notes. Flavour is quite sweet and it seems like there a hint of Brettanomyces funk in here as well. Some honey and flowers appear on the finish. A very interesting brew.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jercraigs (6477) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 16, 2005
Golden yellow with a small creamy head. Aroma is creamy and extremely leafy, with grassy, musty notes. Hay? Smells like a field. Aroma is quite interesting but I am not sure if I like it or not. Sweet up front with a lot of not quit spicey notes, but something spice like - herbal? More complexity than some other hemp beers I have had. Almost tastes like they added the whole plant and not just the seeds! Average palate.

12oz bottle via trade with BeerMountie! - Thanks Tony! - Pours golden slightly cloudy with a short white head that faded fairly quickly. Aromas of light bread, a touch of honey and some herbal notes. Flavor is quite similar. Not much that could be distinguished as hemp although I can say this definitely had some vegetal elements. Not very carbonated. Drinkable but pretty much just a novelty I thought.

Thanks L.S.R! Pours sparkling champagne gold, with a little haze and a short lived fizzy, white ring. Aromas are a tad grain, with malts, fresh forest, and sugars. Interesting. Slightly sweet spicy flavours, with leafy green essences. Sorta stramge, in a good way. Finish is straight forward, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet and minty herbal aftertaste. Thanks to the double D!

Bottle in st. johns. Had to try this beer. Medium golden color. Grainy nose with hints of floral aromatics, not neccesarily hemp though. Light floral character to the taste. Pretty forgettable.

Very fizzy, nutty aromas, probably from the hempseeds [never actually smelled a hempseed, just the flowers and leaves ;o)]. Fairly crisp tasting ale. Very refreshing I found. I would drink this again in a heartbeat!

On tap at "The Ship" in St. John’s. Aroma of nuts and malt. Golden colour with a thin white head that lasts a reasonable amount of time. I really enjoyed this beer and will have to look for it in a bottle to bring home with me.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 LadyCooper (100) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 13, 2007
Bottle in St. John’s. Pours gold with a good white head. Aroma of malt and a hint of hemp. Good balanced malt and hops in the flavour, with a light ending of hempseed. Not as strong a hemp flavour as I expected, but still a very good beer.
