Pours a hazy light yellow with a nice white head. The smell is spice, citrus, grain, light malt. The taste is spicy, grainy with citrus ending very dry. The body is light with active fine carbonation. Pretty nice stuff.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2014 50cl bottle courtesy of embrouille@Freiburger 1st Tri-state Tasting 2014, vielen Dank! A Citra dryhopped saison was long on my list of imagined ideal style combinations, as they’re not as easy to come by in BE or EU, for that matter. Initial bonus O-points for that, as well as for appealing label design. Pours a beige-inflected, saison-style straw with generous head. Has both citrus rind, pineapple and brett in the nose, marking its trademark from the onset. Off to a somewhat rougher start: quite a powerful, white pepper and dry pale malt start, very reminiscent of Duvel Citra, making the first sip feel heavier than its 6.1%. Yeast dryness remains, making for easier, quenching drinking. Citrus, straw and gentler white pepper remain until the dry end. Spot on Citra-dryhopped saison, maybe lacking that last extra of world-class finesse of e.g. De la Senne’s dryhopped saison variations.

Belle couleur. Mousse fine, persistante. Nez de levure équilibrée par le houblon. Agrume pain frais. Gout agrume, fruit a noyaux et touche finale de levure. Arrière bouche moins agréable mais franche. Equilibre bon mais manque un peu d homogeneite entre le citra et la levure

Draught at Ølbutikken. Hazy golden colored with a small white head. Fruity aroma of hops, citrus peel, spices and bubble gum. Fruity flavor of hops, pine needles, citrus and spices. Dry hoppy finish.

weark (303) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - APR 30, 2014
Bottle from Erzbierschof - Hazy pale orange color with a beautiful white head, long lasting and good lacing - Aroma of fresh hops, citrusy, pineapple, spicy, yeasty (probably bret), hints of sourness - Flavor is malty (probably wheat), herbal (fresh hops), fruity - Medium body, light carbonation, subtle sourness, medium bitterness, dry, dry fruity finish - Wahoo this beer is amazing, the fresh hops flavor and the funky notes of the bret (i hope it’s bret) blends perfectly, this brewery is just excellent

Bov (9492) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - APR 12, 2014
from Erzbierschof pours a cloudy orange beer with a long lasting chaotic white foam left; fresh and fruity hoppiness (citric, pineapple) and with some typical brett-like notes; medium to full-bodied, light sticky, some astringency and a subtle carbonation; very bitter; long assertive fruity hoppiness (apricots and citrus dominate), a decent sourish touch; very dry - a fanstastic balance, fresh, complex and with lot of character: one more winner from S&A
