2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
First time: Sirupy. Lots of residual sugar. Little to no bitterness. No distinguished fresh cascade hops. Off bottle? Off beer? Happy to try again.
Second time: Much better than the first time. Sweetness mellowed. Still a sweet double IPA rather than anything else.
I guess this thing still needs some time.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle #85 of 100 from Erzbierschof Winterthur. Almost no head; dark, hazy body of amber color. Alcoholic sweet nose with hints of spices. Tiny bubble carbonation, very pleasant mouthfeel and long lasting bitterness in aftertaste. Middle, however, is too watery for my taste especially since the sweet smell falsely promises a more full-bodied taste. Palate includes some hints of caramel, grassy notes and a little vanilla. Sadly lacking any fruity notes expected from cascade hops.
