Rich and full bodied with a nice balance of hop bitterness and malt flavor. Good kellerbier.

hazy, light yellow with some particles. fine head. nice, slightly restrained aroma of cereal, grass, apricot and floral notes. well balanced taste, medium bodied.

Golden colour, full head, nice grainy, some hops, a full bottom one.

Label calls it a Kellerbier. 500ml bottle MHB: 28.12.11. It looks more like a kellerbier, it is a hazy gold with a fluffy white head that produces gobs of lacing. It has a bit of awkward carbonation bubbles that cling to the side of the glass that take the appearance down a notch. The smell is good, it is herbal with a hint of citrus rind and a subtle maltiness. The flavor is pretty good. It is subtly fruity with hints of citrus and a sweet herbal character. The malt is bready but not overbearing. There is not a high level of bitterness but it is definitely slightly more noticeable than the norm. The mouthfeel could be crisper, I feel like it is a bit of a weak link. Overall it is a solid unfiltered pils.

Bottle. Hazy golden with a frothy, rocky and sustaining head. Soft aroma with the hops more prominent than the malt, some apples and hay. Moderate carbonation, quite full body with a malty, slightly nutty taste with herbal hoppy bitterness at a pilsener level. Quite bitter for a kellerbier, the more to my liking.

Bottle. Clear light golden colour. Grassy, hoppy aroma, complex notes of hops, sweet. Average finish. Good Pils.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2011 (Flasche in 1/2l Glaskrug geschenkt) Es hat ein helles trübes Gelb mit einer schneeweißen Schaumkrone. Das Aroma ist sehr leicht malzig mit einer schönen fruchtigen Hopfennote. Der Geschmack ist zu gering für ein naturtrübes Lagerbier, hat aber einen breiten Abgang mit einer leichten Bittere. Insgesamt ist das Bier ein nettes Lager für einen heißen Tag.

Middle of road, lighter beer. Tastes watery but with some bread, grass, and a creamy buttery finish. Wouldn’t want to sit at home with this one, but good to wander around Berlin. Tried after the Fulbright conference in Berlin, March, 2012.

500 ml bottle. Great artwork. Organic beer. Pours cloudy yellow with medium white head. Wheaty-flowery/soapy aroma. Bitter wheat taste with a bitter palate.

Bottle from Castroni near the Vatican.Pours slightly hazy dark gold with a slight white head. Aroma is lightly bready. Med body. Flavor is moderately caramel in a light toffee way, and there’s enough herbal/grassy hop to miake it lightly bitter. Nice beer.
