Note: Don’t confuse it with Bernstein-Weizen Bio!

Corps onctueux. Vraiment nickel pour le style!

Bottle from The German Club 15/0415. The first thing that you notice with this beer is the super sweet ripe banana aroma, followed by the crackling sound the foam makes as it settles above the beer like a San Francisco fog. Starts off cloudy but clear as the beer sits a while. A bit watery in the mouth but again there is the sweetness of bananas. Not much of a finish.

Nice soft foam, which disappears to leave a little blanket of foam. The beer has a nice yellow colour. The beer is nice and cloudy, like a proper Hefeweizen. The beer has a delicious smell. I smell fruit, bananas and figs. You can also taste banana, combined with a nice bitter hoppy touch. The taste is in perfect balance. The beer is very gentle in the mouth, very pleasant.

A decent but very typical hefeweizen. A bit thin but nevertheless very drinkable.
