500 ml bottle. Great artwork. This is one of the few Störtebeker beers that is not organic. Pours clear dark brown with medium brown head. Roasty sweet malt aroma. Tastes malty and roasty. Good, a bit too sweet, though.

Brown, medium beuge head, some lacing. And this is where the good news end. Sweet, sweet, caramel and sweet everywhere. Ok. Some roasted malt in aroma too. The rest is sweetness.

Form the bottle pours dark Red with off white head, quickly vanishing. Malty sweet taste, nut hints hazelnut but very very sweet malty aftertaste. Interesting...

50cl bottle shared at home. Dark brown with a small tan head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Very sweet with some bitterness in the background. Brown sugar, caramel, ripe fruits and toffee. Way too sweet, this was quite awful.

Roughly foamy beer where foam has moderate durability. The aroma has slight sweet hint of malt. It has a taste very sweet caramel with a little tang of nuts. Too sweet as a whole. Perhaps as an alternative to a traditional ale - for that’s what it tastes most of! It is not comparable with a porter, and should probably rather have been called a dark lager.

50 cl bottle from Brecht. Dark opaque brown black pour with thin off white head. Aroma is fruity, lots of berries, cocoa powder, milk, some unfermented grain. Taste is rather sweet, fruity and a tad watery. Palate is light with smooth carbonation. Meh.

Ciemne z beżową pianą. Intensywne aromaty karmelu, toffi, może trochę suszonej śliwki. W smaku bardzo słodkie, karmelowe i odrobinę czekoladowe.

Brown color with beige head. Sugary, caramely, chocolaty. Not very balanced unfortunately. Okay though.

Bottle 50cl. Clear deep amber brown, small frothy tan head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing; sweet malty aroma, roasted, brown sugar, caramel, sugar syrup; taste heavy sweet, caramel, chocolate, sugar; medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, sweet aftertaste, hint of bitterness, slightly roasted; very sweet indeed, tastes like a Dutch Oud Bruin certainly not as a Porter.
