Untergäriges Kellerbier. Naturbelassen, ohne Filtration. Bio-zertifiziert.

Solides Zwickel!

Pours in dark yellow, cloudy body with creamy lacing head. Aroma is malts, grass, hops and some fruity notes. Palate is flat, smooth, carbonation weak, soft. Taste is medium bitter, little soapy, dry and malty with decent notes from hops. Finish is mild watery with floral flavors and crispiness. Overall decent Kellerbier.

A slightly cloudy, yellow beer with an almost medium and white head that stays in the glass. Aroma is fresh, malty and slightly biscuity, grass and slightly aromatic. Taste surprises, there are enough of bitterness, malts, grassy hoppyness, but not only soccer field. Quite dry and nicely long aftertaste. Light+ bodied, quite high carbonation, fresh to drink. Nice and succesfull beer, aromatic and enough of bitterness.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - 4.7 % ABV, from supermarket, 20121130) The beer poured pale golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had metallicness, grain and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grain, sweetness, metallicness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was metallic and bitter. Too mild-flavoured to be a good kellerbier but no flaws and not too sweet.

500ml bottle. Very pale yellow color. Almost no head. Watery, grainy, malty aroma. Sharp benzine in flavor which makes it quite hard to drink.

Fairly bland aroma, a touch of grain. Watery palate. OK carbonation. Slightly peanutty taste, nutty in part at least, and Anna just fed me a peanut. Slightly industrial chemicals in the retronasals. A bit disappointing. Too watery, definitely. Guessing they watered it down for the Finnish market.

The zwickl is difficult to judge, as some varieties are are fairly dark and nutty. This one was light and a hazy golden color. Poured farily flat with little head. Aroma is of hay and butterscotch, and the taste wihile pleasant, is fairly weak and watery. Much better to be found elsewhere....
