Untergäriges Kellerbier. Naturbelassen, ohne Filtration. Bio-zertifiziert. 11.1°

Bottle 50cl. Pours a white head, small white bubbles. Color is hazy hay. Aroma is leaves and birch sap. Like a rain puddle. Flavour is also kind of birch shoots with some malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPad

Pours a hazy, sandy yellow with fine carbonation and a loose, foamed milk head. Light vegetal waft fades to reveal a dusty and mineral-like malt and hop aroma tainted by what I can only describe as reminiscent of Mortadella sandwich meat - weird! Quite spicy on the palate, grassy, metallic and bitter in the tail. Light bodied with a dry and somewhat pasty mouthfeel. Soapy finish is a little off putting and this affects it quite negatively. Bready and grainy upfront. Not much here and what is here doesn’t work. Disappointing!! (50cL, BB 01/08/13, Cellarbrations Carlisle)

500 ml bottle. Aroma pretty neutral, pale malts, faint hops and weak wheat notes. Taste is malty and rich, I get a wheaty feeling from this for some reason.

50 cl bottle (4,7%) @ Nurmo, BBE 15.06.2013
Aroma has citrus, hay, grain and hints of metal. Flavour has grain, citrus, some hay and hints of honey. A good kellerbier, the metallic notes disturb a bit though.

500 ml bottle, bought in Germany, poured into a big english pint glass. ABV 4.8%. Bright yellow goldenn colour, slighty hazy. Two fingers of white head, soapy, with low retention and light lacing around the glass. Aroma of malts mainly, stale bread and wet hay. Taste is typical of a lager, only a bit more bitter. Again lots of malts on the taste, some very light hop taste on the back and more notable on the aftertaste, which by the way is quite bitter. Medium on the body, carbonation a tiny bit above average. Overall, not bad, easily drinkable but also a bit boring.

After visiting Germany, started to like this style, but maybe more cause of very hopped examples. Pours pale cloudy yellow with whate top, minimal lacing. On nose sweet kind of malt (not like mostly malt) with aromatic hopping portion, average intensity. Pleasant mix. In taste sections are bit changed and it becomes above average bitter with sweet malty profile. Nice. Although I prefer even more bitter samples. Medium body, min dry finish. Overall - very refreshing, drinkable one.

0.5 bottle from local supermarket. Light yellow colour, not much of a head. Taste has hops, but no as much as I expected. Nice unfiltered dry light beer.

Bottled. Pale straw-yellow and slightly hazy beer, thin white head. Dry grainy malt aroma, herbal and slightly floral hoppiness. Light yeasty notes. Dryish maltiness, some yeasty bread notes. Slightly yeasty finish has faint fruitiness. Medium bitterness is a bit harsh. Slightly fizzy carbonation.

Sample at a tasting at Systembolaget, February 2013. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of hops, cake batter and malt. Also some notes of grass and citrus. Drinkable but not that exciting to be honest.
