COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500 ml bottle in Germany at home thanks to shrubber85. Pours a clear gold color with medium white head. Aroma is hops malt and some smoke. Taste is kind of strange, some glue and malt I think. Palate is bland wallpaper paste. It is not a bad beer but it just tastes funny.

Found a mix-pack of these beers at Penny. 500ml bottle MHB: 16.11.11. It pours a standard Pils gold with a foamy white head that leaves some pretty nice lacing. The smell is sharp and herbal, with a bit of dankiness and some alcoholic fruitiness. A light bready malt presence rounds it out. The flavor is pleasant enough. The malt is rather thin, producing a bit of watery bread taste with a hint of sweetness and a hint of daicetyl in the inish. But the hops are ample, in the North-German style, with plenty of herbal bitterness, though not a huge ton. It will probably satisfy a lot of American palates, to me though it is just barely above average.

Flaske 50 cl. Gylden hælde med et varende hvid hoved. Aroma og humle, smagen er let sød af malt og humle. Tør mundfornemmelse og afslutning.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2011 Bottle shared with the in-law. Darker than normal pils color, typical aroma and flavor, except it has a moderate burnt taste. Interesting.

(bottle) pours a clear deep golden colour with a tall dense white head. aroma of grainy cereals, herbal hops and grass. flavour is the same, again a little too heavy on the grain with not enough emphasis on the hops and an astringent bitter finish. medium-bodied with smooth carbonation.

50 cl bottle from Aachen. Looks as every pilsner should do: clear golden color, huge white head, with layered lacing. Hoppy nose. Aroma is hoppy. Medium bodied, with bitter hops with a longlasting dry bitter finish. Typical and very nice.

Bottle. Sweet creamy malt and light grassy hops aroma. Clear golden yellow color with moderate head. Sweet barley malt and strongly bitter quinine flavor. Okay but don’t like the flavor of the bitterness.
