3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Mix of amber and light brown. Almost clear. Beige foam. Sweet malts, toffee, caramel and yeast on the nose. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Quite sweet. Banana, yeast, caramel. No bitterness. Roggen must mean rye because I get strong rye notes among the wheat. Takes a moment to get used to the flavor but after a while it is kinda nice. Still a little odd.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2014 Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours murky light brown with a medium-sized frothy head. Aroma is typical for a hefeweizen; it is both fruity and spicy. The emphasis is on wheaty maltiness with a touch of rye and banana. Taste, however, is more original, as it is influenced by rye. It is on the whole quite sweet but balanced. Toffee, banana and darker fruity esters feature with notes of rye and toasty malts. The palate is medium bodied, slick and very drinkable. This is one of my favourite wheat beers: it has all the attributes of a good hefeweizen but is also original, even a bit similar to sahti. Overall a distinctive rye hefeweizen.
