500ml bottle shared with Finn. Brought to Tromsø from Systembolaget Luleå by Gaute. Creamy, fading, fawn coloured head. Spotty lacing to the glass. Body colour is deep mahogany. Brown, roasted malts on the nose, dry and semi-sweet. Mild roasted malts, mid-sweet, in the flavour profile mingled with a little punch of dark fruits. Dry ending. Ok, a bit unvaried perhaps (Tromsø, 29.05.2013).

moderate smooth body with malt and sweet caramel flavor slightly toasted with some added earth and licorice root. black brew with rummy and winey aroma.

Bottle at home. Pours dark mahogany with a small of white head. Slightly burnt caramel aroma. Medium body, caramel flavour not much bitterness.

Brown coloured beer with a medium white head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is roasted malts with hints of cocoa, chocolate milk and vanilla. Medium palate.

Charcoal and sweet vanillas. Oily and clearish. The char really predominates with sweet plums and vanillas in the end.

Medium beige shiny head. Clear brown body with light carbonation. Roasty cocoa aroma with earthy vanilla notes. Dry-sweet roasty earthy taste with chocolatey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish chocolatey roasted grain aftertaste with honey and alcohol notes. Nice, drinkable, has character. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

A good light dark beer, pours a coffee sort of colour, dissipating head. Light toffee aroma. Light espresso flovour that lingers. Light palate a bit of fizz.

Dark brown colour with small brown head. Aroma contains som malt, oat and also some fruitiness. Roasted malt, nuts and some figs. Somewhat dry finish.

Clear dark amber, dark brown with small brownish foam head. Aroma is burned malt, nutmeg, cinnamon and some coffee, quite complex. Taste is pretty nice, cinnamon and nutty. Aftertaste is quite long lasting. (April 201304)

Smell the coffee, taste of dark chocolate in a thinner form than a classic Staut. Ideal to have as dessert beer.
