Drunk out of a Kwak glass as recomended by the brewery. Dark brown to black in colour. Yellow/brownish head. Malt, fresh bread and a hint of noble hops in the nose. Light roasted malts, hint of chocolate, nice maltyness and very clean in the flavor. Medium body and fine CO2. Right to style - 4C

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a beautiful clear, reddish mahogany with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with sweet, roasted malts and accents of dark chocolate. No real bitterness. Really comes through more like a soft Dunkel - bud a good one. 260906

Bottle. Stron coffe roast aroma, fighting hard against the metallic bittering hops. Deep brown, creamy brown head. Nice coffeeish roasted grain up front, nutty and bready middle and bitter counterpoint. Quickbready finish, relatively light body.. Now the roast character of this brew is really nice, if they just could tweak the beer a little bit so that it becomes a bit more harmonic they have a winner.

Bottle: Very dark, nearly "schwarz" coloured, thin off-white foam; robust aroma of roasted malt, caramel and molasses; dry, crisp bitter-malty flavour, light bodied; short, demi-sec malty finish with traces of coffee and/or roasted malt. A good and pleasant, typical Schwarzbier.............
