500 ml bottle at home in Germany. Thanks to shrubber and this is the last of 40 or so beers he left at my house for me to rate. Hats off to you and THANKS! Pours a very deep dark brown color with a big creamy long lasting beige head. Aroma is deep maple syurp, malt, and roasted coco. Taste is roasted coco, malt and some dark dry fruit. Palate is mellow and like powdered coco. Nice beer.

500ml bottle. MHB: 16.03.12. The pours is more reminiscent of coke than beer. It literally looks exactly like cola, the head sticks for a bit longer but other than that exactly the same, and I don’t like it. The smell is raisny with some slight hop presence and some dough. The flavor an body is also reminiscent of soda, perhaps a root beer. This is utterly confusing. This beer just sucks.

Dark chestnut colour. Maybe some chocolate on the nose, but mostly it smells industrial. Some caramel on the palate..sweet sweet. This is a true industrial dark lager, bland as hell.

Flaske 50 cl. Mørkebrun hælde med et lille off white hoved. Aroma af karamel og chokolade. Smag af ristet malt, karamel og svag kaffe. Let syrlig mundfornemmelse som fortsætter i afslutningen. Dejlig Schwarsbier

(bottle) pours a hazy dark ruby-brown colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of toasted malts and hazelnuts, with a light hint of coffee and herbal hops. flavour is the same, with a nice toasted malt profile, a little residual sweetness and a mild roasted-bitter finish. light to medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle. Murky dark brown. Aroma of cola-flavored candies. Real thin. Tastes like bad artificial black licorice. I’m being quite generous with the score here, this is a pretty nasty supermarket quality beer.

Bottled from Aachen. Very dark brown color with the usual thin, slightly off-white head. Sweet aroma with some hops. Flavour is hoppy hoppy, with chocolate and sugar. lively carbonation, heavier the average schwarzbier body. Nice!!

Bottle. Chocolate malt and wood aroma. Opaque brown-black color with small head. Sweet woody chocolate malt flavor. Finishes a bit watery. A bit light but tasty.
