Dark brown and very pleasant German schwarzbier with nice roasted chocolates and hints of coffee. The beer was a bit flat on the palate but nonetheless a very decent beer.

Bottled: Reddish brown coloured. Quite murky to look at. A light beige head. Fluffy. Aroma is sweet and light roasted. Flavour is bland. Has notes of chocolate/caramel, sweetness and some fruit. A bit too thin bodied and vague. Has a rather sour aftertaste.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 thedm (4773) - Fort Wayne, USA - OCT 14, 2004
The DM & Hotstuff’s European Honeymoon trip beer number 94. This bottled brew poured a large head of frothy large sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body contained soft carbonation, was transparent and dark brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of nice dark beer brown malts. Its mouth feel was initially smooth with a dark brown malty palate and a malty aftertaste. Its flavor contained nice sweet malts with mild caramel notes. A very good brew that I really enjoyed drinking. More please!
