(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Kramer 17801. Pours a very dark brown, close to black, with a vague tint of red and a creamy, lacing, beige head. Lightly burned malt aroma. Surprisingly the body is only medium with a very soft mouthfeel, roasted and lightly burned malt accents with a very discreet whiskey touch and some oak. The bitterness is very subdued. 170607

Opaque very dark brown beer. Short lived tan head. Mild dark malt and chocolate nose. Crispy palate. Minerally dark malt, not roasty or bitter. Beautifully blended coffee and dark chocolate and mild whisky. Turns softer. Light minerally chocolate aftertaste. Very nice.

black, fine beige head, streaks of lace, sweet roasted aroma with light oak, bourbon aroma shows up after a while, light tartness, roasted flavor, touch of oak, sweetness comes out with a hint of whiskey, after sitting a while the oak picks up a bit of tartness but the whiskey never shows again,

Bottle courtesy of hopdog. Pours black with a huge dark brown head, creamy, and refuses with all its might to diminish, excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, chocolate, toasted), average hops (flowers), average yeast (leather) with notes of prune, wood and tar. Full bodied, alcoholic texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness; toasted and roasted malt flavor, chocolate, slight creaminess.

Bottle... This beer rocks! Pitch black ale with a large, fluffy, dark khaki head. Excellent, creamy retention. The aroma is simple and divine; milk chocolate and coconut. Well-balanced with lightly singed, mildly bitter notes that keep the beer’s sweet mocha/coconut/caramel symphony of flavors finely tuned. Medium to full-bodied and spritzy. Chocolaty, creamy-smooth finish. Cheers to hopdog for sending this world class beer to me!

hopdog on the hookup! Dark brown pour. tan head. Lots of bourbon, toasted malt and some chocolate on the nose. Flavor has less bourbon than i expected...but some nice raosty notes and good chocolate. Very well done and understated which is rare with the bourbon imp stouts these days.
