750 from the brewery. Pours hazy gold with nose of yeasty rock sugary malt, hops, yeast, figgy fruit. Tastes medium of palate, with hopcitrus up front, some figgy and raisin flavors mid, and some hops and citrus late. Perhaps a tad sweet, and I enjoyed the 50/25 quad better.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
25.9 oz bottle. Deep but clear brown in my chalice with some incidental bubbles around the edge. I gave this a year but appearance-wise seems to be flat. Nose is dough, brown sugar and raisin. Medium body, mostly still, but providing a mild tang to keep it from feeling totally dead. Taste is stale butterscotch, burnt sugar, bitter grass and yeast. The alcohol takes over after a glass. Not without merit.

Sampled during RBWG 2010. This is big, corny, very sweet, some alcohol and a huge meh.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750 ml bottle from Capones opened at the CL Rosso release. Poured an orangey brown body with a tiny foamy off-white head. Aroma was super sweet and sugary with notes of toffee, raisin, brown sugar and biscuit. Flavor of brown sugar, dark fruit sugars and grains. The body was to thin on this one and the carbonation to soft. Oh well looks like aging this one helped a bit but not enough.

Bottle shared by Footy. Cloudy copper color pour with a foamy head. Sweet fruit, banana, yeast, malt and bubblegum?! Interesting, but a bit too sweet. Thanks Rudy!
