COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A re-visitation of the original Stoudt’s German-style lager. This beautiful Dunkel dark style lager is reminiscent of the monk style bock beers. Very malty, full bodied, bottom fermented lager that might just incline you to search for a goblet to drink it from.

A nice enough dark bock. Nose of sweet malts. Dark almost chestnut, small head, good lacing. Taste consistent with nose ... sweet dark malts, caramel, touch maybe of coffee, none of the intensity of a double bock, but quite enjoyable.

Tap at BT. Pours a hazed deep amber with a light fizzy white head. Aroma is a touch on the fruity side, but stays somewhat legit with some nice full caramunich sweetness and toasty breadiness- low herbal hops. Flavor is toasty, caramel, munich, bread, earth leather and slight fruit, even hint of cherry pit? Mostly smooth finish.

Bomber bottle with cork from the brewery. Poured a dark brown with an off white foam head. Pleasant light aroma of grains, caramel nuts and malt. Very mild with a malt pleasant mouth feel, some dough, grains and a slight sweetness. Enjoyable and would have again.
