Aroma of pale and caramel malts and some citrus hoppiness. Nice bit of citrus in the flavor complimented by some earlthy dry-hopping, mango, caramel and pale malts. Palate is oily, sticky, and fairly thick. Not bad, not great. phiconners (123), Massachusetts, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Pours a thick orange, not much head at all. Aroma is mild citrus. Strong hops flavor comes through, felt a bit thinner than it looked. Alcohol is well masked. A good but not great double IPA. bassbuckeye (81), Ohio, USA

I also love a strong flavor. This beer was abundant in both, but what a mess. Incredibly sweet...repulsively so. Strangely, mellowed out a bit as it warmed, but not enough. Oh yeah, beautiful orange color, nice head and lacing. Other flavors were sweet fruits (apricots?), noticeable alcohol and fruity hops (grapefruit and others). Just too freaking sweet. Aroma of sweet ruby red grapefruit with some brown sugar. A citrus rind bitterness with a nice balance of caramel and honey flavor. Good texture with a bit of an oily feel. Very drinkable for the high abv... skoisirius (573), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 11, 2008 12 oz bottle. Lots of piny citrus business up in your nose from the start. A bit of alcohol is visible in the flavors. Different fruity flavors blend in the lemon citrusy aspect of this one. Quite bitter and bitter lasting towards the end. Fairly carbonated. Good stuff. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA

Buttery mango and pineapple nose. Medium body with very present carb. Biscuity and mango-y mid-palate. Mild biscuity finish. Good stuff.
