Dec 4, 2007 12 oz. Clear, burnt orange and gold with a medium-sized creamy head that leaves some sticky cobwebs. Spicy orange, cream, and caramel aroma. Big creamsicle front fades to grapefruit and honey, then to a delicious evergreen resin-citrus finish. Palate is smooth and light-medium bodied with a crisp finish. Wow, awesome selection of hop additions to make this one seem somehow only slightly jilted to the bitter side, yet 75 IBUs!

Nov 30, 2007 Really well made Double IPA for those palates that don’t like the extra grapefruit sweetness that sometimes is found in the style. Not too heavy either, well balanced. Stoudts quietly makes fine beers, this is a good example.

Nov 27, 2007 Bottle: Poured a clear orange with a white head. Aroma was floral and hoppy. Taste was hoppy as well, with a big grapefruit and pine flavor. Some malt flavor came through as well. Mouthfeel was thick and somewhat syrupy. Overall not a bad brew.

Nov 26, 2007 Bottle, poured with thin off-white head, with a rather clear amber color. A bit on the weak side for taste, and finishes too bitter for the initial flavor. Does not have the strong piney-hop flavor I crave, but more on the malty side. I was not impressed, but it was not terrible either.

Nov 20, 2007 Bottle. Poured clear light amber with a thick off-white head, good lacing. Hops are spicy and grassy and slightly sweet dominating the nose. Dry bitter flavor, little sweetness, floral notes, seems a little lacking in punch for a Double IPA. Medium bodied with a strong lingering bitterness.

Nov 20, 2007 Poured a slighty cloudy golden orange with a thin head. Nice hop aroma. The initial feel was of a creamy texture and a nice hop bite followed by a bit of sweetness that rolled into a mild bitter long finish. The high alcohol content was masked really well with the flavors mixing well. This is a really good IIPA!!!

Nov 15, 2007 From the bottle pours a slightly cloudy red/gold orange. Decent head. Hop aroma wasn’t overpowering considering it’s a DIPA. Good balance between malt and hop. Slightly sweet but finishes with the bitterness of the hops. Can definitely taste the alcohol in the background but it’s not overpowering. Very solid DIPA
