Aug 15, 2007 bottle . . pours reddish copper slight cloudyness with a fizzy head . . aroma is hops, honey, caramel, grapefruit, toasted marshmellows . . smells sweet . .taste is hops, grapefruit, pine, butter, toffee . . kinda alcoholy, but all in all a goot beer for the amount of alcohol in there . . deff worth its score

Aug 14, 2007 From at bottle at Ashley’s. Great golden color to it, smells pretty sweet. Tons of hops, but a well balanced beer at the same time.

Aug 7, 2007 12 oz bottle from CaptainCougar. Pour is a clear golden orange with carbonation and a medium sized off white head. Aroma is honey sweetness, citrus and floral. A bit of alcohol as it warms. Taste is quite sweet initially, settling into lemon lime citrus floral bouquet. There is a pronounced boozy finish to this one. The hops and alcohol are the story here, not my perfect mix - in fact - I found it a bit cloying and unrefined.

Jul 29, 2007 Pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head. Aroma is very floral and sweet. Tangy citrus flavor with a decent amount of flowery hops. Balanced enough to be drinkable, also, alcohol is well hidden. A tasty brew, for sure.

Jul 18, 2007 Bottle, bottled on 11-15-06, notes from a 1-29-07 tasting. A good IIPA. The first taste is sweet caramel/nutty malts. Followed up by a very citrusy hop bitterness that lingers. You can taste the alcohol, and there is a slight alcohol aroma too. There isnt much for a head or lacing.

Jul 16, 2007 A 6-pack from Golden Eagle. Pours a rich gold orange. The smell is all hops and citrus. Very rich. The taste is strong hops but citrus just as strong. It lingers for a time then finishes with a strong bitter. Great stuff.

Jul 14, 2007 A very fruity and alochol smell. Wow, this beer definitely has a strong alcohol smell to it. I believe I smell some nice peach. A nice hazy peach smell to it, actually it is more orange haze than peach. Not as bitter as I would expect. There is an alcohol burn at the back of my throat. The bitter taste sits on the tongue but doesn’t linger. The alcohol taste is more pungent than all of the other flavors. I am a little upset in terms of flavor. The hop flavor seems to not exist to me. The beer is decent, but mainly the ABV is what this beer has going for it. I am not highly impressed. The beer is somewhat smooth, but not what I was looking for from this Double IPA.
