Taste is sweet malts, with strong and perhaps overpowering hops. Overall I thought it was good, but the bitterness wasn’t jiving with the rest of the beer. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Smell of hops, apricots, candy raisins, caramel, malt, pine, cotton candy and pine. Tastes just like it smells but better. What a great dry, bitterness at the end. I can definitely taste the alcohol in this one. Great hop and grapefruit taste. What a great DIPA! FLnative80 (174), Orlando, Florida, USA

Hoppy, peach aroma with light citrus. Dry with little carbonation. Flavor is much sweeter than I expected yet still with a long bitter finish. hoppymeal (38), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2007 Pours a nice gold to copper orange. Smells of citrus, mainly lemon, some grassiness, and also a little dose of sweet malt and piney-ness. Taste follows with a bitter finish that is laced with alcohol taste. The bitter/alcohol finish is at first a little too harsh for my own tastes, even though I usually enjoy the style, but it improves as it approaches room temp and the maltiness is more evident.

Looks good, smells good. Typical hop aroma of grapefruit citrus, pine. Decent. Tasted like a big DIPA, lots of bitterness. This was one of the more bitter DIPA’s I have had yet.
