Floral aroma of hops, resin, caramel, and wood. Oily mouthfeel with nearly no carbonation. Orange, resin, pine, and malt mix well. Alcohol is masked well, only coming out as the beer warmed. More malty than expected, but an excellent IIPA. MrBendo (1042), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Bottle. Poured orange/amber with a medium head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits and pine. Taste was tangy citrus and a fair malt backbone. Alcohol was well hidden, but the warmth was there. Nicely bitter finish. Full(-) bodied. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be ’tangy’. glennmastrange (837), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Bottle. Great smells of caramel, pine, perfume, and beef broth were easily noticable with hints of prune, pineapple, pear and a slight winey note. Black pepper followed after it warmed a bit. It had a creamy head, good lacing and it had a unique orange color to it. Taste started off moderately sweet and finished both slightly sweet and acidic. It had a medium body, oily texture and a nice soft carbonation. It’s remarkable aroma makes this beer a re-do. Cletus (5051), Connecticut, USA

The malt brings the hop character down to densely-flavored Fuggles level. The balance on this is approximately as gorgeous as its big fluffy protruding head. Then there’s the velvety smooth (even if somehwat thick-syrupy) finish. Ridiculously drinkable. Thanks, I’ll have more!

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Feb 17, 2007 12 oz bottle, bottled 12/13/06, poured 2/17/07. Served at about 55 degrees. Poured a light, copper brown with a medium tan head that was gone shortly after the pour. Smells piney, slightly floral, with a sweet malty backbone. Has a thick, creamy mouthfeel, with good, unyeilding carbonation. Tastes of hops, very bitter, good strong malt character. Alcohol is hidden pretty well, but still detectable. Hops linger on the tongue for a few minutes before fading. Very very tasty

Aroma is very hoppy with some sweet citrus in there as well. Taste is very hoppy and bitter but well rounded and balanced. A very impressive and flavorful beer.
