COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stoudt's Double IPA is a strong, full-bodied ale with an intense hop character and deep golden color. This unusual brew is characteristic of the newly recognized style of extremely hoppy and malty ales of American origin. The Double IPA is our strongest beer with an alcohol of over 10% abv and bitterness of more than 75 IBU's. Multiple kettle hop additions and generous dry hopping contribute to the powerful yet smooth and fragrant hop character of this beer. 10% abv.

On tap. What more can I add. Cloudy burnt orange pour with a white head. Nondescript hop aromas. Dank and bitter with bland hop bitterness.

12 oz. bottle, split with mcberko. Pours hazy amber / orange with a small white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrusy hops, caramel malt and booze. Flavour is essentially the same - very smooth, with a beautiful boozy, hoppy finish. Nice.

12 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours hazy golden orange with a very small white head. Aroma of wonderfully floral hops, pungent grapefruit, balanced by copious amounts of caramel malts - wonderfully balanced on the nose. Flavour of lots of resinous hops, floral notes, tons of grapefruit and backed beautifully by caramel malt. Lingering resin notes, with a bit of an alcohol kick. Wonderful IIPA.

12oz bottle. Clear darker orange color, thin kahki head that leaves a nice, sticky lacing on the side of the glass.Alcohol is noticable all the way through the finish (expected for 10.6%) but it’s not bad at all - complements the sweet, resiny, hop aroma nicely. Nice aftertaste with a gradual finish. Slightly syrupy - sticky texture.

Probably not the beer’s fault, but by the time I tried this, it was already a bit flat. The lack of carbonation certainly turned me off. Didn’t pick this one up for our store either. Oh well. Even with the beer tasting right, this seems like a run of the mill Double IPA.

Nice! Strong IPA, but very flavorful. Of course, very hoppy. Will buy more soon. Good brew.

Pour hazy golden orange beige head. Aroma mango, tangerine, grapefruit, caramel, malt sweetness. Taste orange/tangerine, caramel, quite malty, touch of warming booze, grapefruit. MF medium stick body fizzy carb. Nothing special a little to malty.
