curly (548), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Apr 14, 2009 Mostly clear orange with a thin white head. Alcohol and orange aroma. Sweet orange taste with a bitter finish. Very well balanced. dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA Apr 11, 2009 Pours a hazy orange with floating sediment and a thick off-white head. Aroma is surprisingly mild for a DIPA, but is there of unplaceable hops, alcohol, and pine. Taste is exactly the same. Just not impressed with this, I was expecting more. PhatB420 (126), Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA Apr 11, 2009 A fine DIPA at that. Friutfullness is all over tha place, the hop presence is ther, although somewhat limited for what I was expecting. But, yes the abv will catch up on you, these brews go donw nice. enjoying it all! CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Apr 9, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Brought it back from Pittsburgh. Very malty DIPA. Nose is dominated by sweet malt with some hops. Flavor is about the same with more hops and some nice bitter hops in the flavor and finish. Very smooth. No poop. Pretty damn nice. ben4321 (957), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 7, 2009 Location: 12 oz bottle from Norm’s, August ’08
Overall Impression:
Nice double IPA, smooth flavor, really enjoyable, definitely bitter beer
Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Apr 5, 2009 Pours a deep golden body with an off-white head. Smells of fruity hops and caramel. Great body and mouthfeel with an excellent sweetness and good hopping. Wish it was a little more bitter on the finish. BrianDorry55 (117), Spring Hill, Florida, USA Mar 28, 2009 12oz bottle from The Brass Tap in Wesley Chapel, FL. Pours an opaque orange-amber with a thin white head. Aroma is pine and sweet grapefruit. Flavor is alot of grapefruit and some pine..very rich, robust flavor...but the 10% alcohol is nowhere to be found! This goes down so smooth for what it is. Medium mouthfeel. I think this is a great IIPA...one of my favorites. gsmitty80 (628), Washington DC, USA Mar 27, 2009 I thought this was a fantastic IPA. Labeled what it is and follows with great taste through the whole palate. Very nice and right on par.
