COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stoudt's Double IPA is a strong, full-bodied ale with an intense hop character and deep golden color. This unusual brew is characteristic of the newly recognized style of extremely hoppy and malty ales of American origin. The Double IPA is our strongest beer with an alcohol of over 10% abv and bitterness of more than 75 IBU's. Multiple kettle hop additions and generous dry hopping contribute to the powerful yet smooth and fragrant hop character of this beer. 10% abv.

Draft at Three Penny Taproom - Poured a pretty golden amber in color with a medium off-white head that produced some very nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is strong of pine resin hopiness. Flavor is also very hoppy with pine, but well muted by a fair amount of malt understructure. Alcohol not really apparent at all. Extremely well done... one of the best DIPAs that I have had.

Average orange/brown appearance. Aroma is a little ’off’. Smells of pine, citrus and malt. Tastes very malty for an IPA / Belgiany Double IPA. Very good - different.

From bottle to tulip. This beer has a great aroma. First couple of sips are bitter fruity but then a burning alcohol after taste. Not sure about this one.

Pours a clear amber brown. Aroma is faint scent of malt extract and hop. The flavor was weak. Definately not like other doubles. Overall inoffensive bit unremarkable.

Poured a golden color. Full Frothy head. aroma of fruit citrus hop, and slight bubblegum and purfumey. Med bitter. Ave carbonation. More fruity tones in this ipa. Not bad.

Bottle from craft beer outlet. Aroma is sweet, tastes sweet with some grapefruit and hop notes. Good full bodied ipa.

Draught at Churchkey. Hazy amber pour. Nose and flavor are both full of big sweetness with tangerine flesh, pink grapefruit, molasses, and caramel. Reminds me a bit of DFH 90, but loses its intrigue after the first sip or two. Still solid though, and hides the alcohol quite nicely.

Nice full bodied IPA. Good hop flavor with complex under tones to back it up. Really nice finish.

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of bread, yeast, earthines, light pine and light citrus. Palte was medium bodied and risp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, citrus, earthiness and a hint of pine with a crisp dry moderatly bitter finish.
